DDP Shipping from China: Duties Paid, Delivered to Your Door
DDP means Delivered Duty Paid. With Speedline’s DDP service, we collect your goods from your supplier in China, consolidate and export them, ship by air, sea or road, file the import declaration, pay the duties and taxes, and deliver to your address. You receive one quote before shipping. Use DDP when you want one party to handle the whole journey and you want to know your landed cost up front. Transit is typically 3 to 7 days by air, 10 to 18 days by road and 20 to 35 days by sea, measured from the day cargo is received in China.
How DDP shipping from China works at Speedline
- Supplier pickup or warehouse receiving. We collect from your supplier, or your supplier delivers to one of our China warehouses in Yiwu, Guangzhou or Foshan.
- Consolidation and booking. We check cartons against the packing list, combine shipments from several suppliers where useful, and book space by air, sea or road.
- Export clearance. We handle Chinese export documents and loading.
- Arrival and import filing. Cargo arrives at Karachi Port or Port Qasim, Karachi, Lahore or Islamabad airports, or at the Sost border for road. We file the Goods Declaration.
- Duty and tax payment. We pay customs duty, regulatory duty, additional customs duty, sales tax and advance income tax on your behalf, then release the cargo.
- Doorstep delivery. We deliver to your warehouse, shop or factory.
Global DDP lanes
China to Pakistan (confirmed lane). Our most established DDP route. Sea cargo is cleared at Karachi Port or Port Qasim. Air cargo arrives at Karachi, Lahore or Islamabad. Road cargo crosses at Sost and moves by bonded truck to dry ports and commercial centres. Delivery covers Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Faisalabad, Sialkot and Peshawar.Â
China to UAE (requires confirmation). Goods from China can be consolidated and shipped to the UAE for DDP delivery in Dubai and other emirates.Â
China to UK (requires confirmation). UK DDP depends on how VAT is handled. Under a UK DDP arrangement, the forwarder’s UK customs partner files the declaration and VAT is paid as part of the agreed quote. Ask for the VAT treatment in writing before you order.
China to USA (requires confirmation). USA DDP is usually offered by sea to an East or West Coast port and by air to major gateways, with delivery by truck. Duties and fees are quoted by HS code.Â
Other lanes (mention only): Canada, Australia, Southeast Asia, East Africa and Saudi Arabia are served through general freight. Contact us to confirm DDP availability on your route.

Why Speedline
- Origin and destination in one chain. We run China-side consolidation and Pakistan-side clearance, so the same team that receives your goods files the import.
- Three China warehouses. Yiwu for small commodities and consumer goods, Guangzhou for textiles, electronics and auto parts, Foshan for furniture, ceramics, building materials and machinery.
- Itemised quotes. Freight, China-side charges, Pakistan-side charges, and duties are shown separately.
- Tracking. Updates at warehouse receipt, export clearance, departure, arrival, customs release and dispatch to your address.
- Bonded road route. Road DDP runs under one carrier chain from China to Pakistan’s inland centres. [CLIENT TO CONFIRM: carrier names and bonded status]
Customs and documentation
For a DDP shipment into Pakistan, customs duty, regulatory duty, additional customs duty, sales tax and advance income tax are calculated from the HS code and the declared value. Rates change, so we confirm the current rate with our customs team before the quote is final.
What we need from you:
- Commercial invoice showing the actual transaction value
- Packing list with carton count, weight and dimensions
- Product description with material, function and model number
- Importer name and registration details that match your import documents
- Certificates for restricted goods (batteries, cosmetics, liquids, powders, chemicals), such as MSDS or brand authorisation
Import registration: Whether a shipment clears under our customs set-up or needs your own registration depends on the goods and the importer. We confirm this at quote stage, before the cargo ships.
Pricing logic
Your DDP quote is built from four parts:
- Freight: per kg for air, per CBM for LCL, per container for FCL, per truck or CBM for road
- China-side charges: pickup, warehouse handling, export clearance
- Pakistan-side charges: terminal and airport charges, clearance, delivery
- Duties and taxes: itemised from the HS code and declared value
To quote accurately, send your product list, supplier city, number of cartons with weight and dimensions (or total CBM), invoice value and delivery city. If you are unsure of your CBM, use our CBM calculator.

Frequently Asked Questions — Speedline DDP Service
Speedline DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) service is an all-inclusive door-to-door shipping solution where we handle foreign pickup, international transport, customs clearance, duty payments, and final delivery to your doorstep. Under DDP (Incoterms 2020), Speedline assumes complete responsibility for every stage of transit, ensuring you receive your goods with zero administrative hassle or unexpected destination charges.
Yes! We offer three primary DDP transport modes: Air DDP (3 to 7 days transit) for urgent, high-value, or time-sensitive freight; Sea DDP LCL (20 to 35 days) for consolidated cargo; Sea DDP FCL (20 to 35 days) for dedicated 20ft and 40ft containers; as well as Cross-Border Road & Trucking DDP (10 to 18 days) for overland commercial freight.
Yes, all customs duties, import sales taxes (VAT), regulatory duties (RD), additional customs duties (ACD), withholding income taxes, and port clearance fees are fully included in your single DDP quote. You pay one transparent rate and never have to pay any additional fees at the port or upon delivery.
We operate 3 fully equipped consolidation warehouses across China’s major industrial manufacturing regions: Yiwu (specializing in small commodities, hardware, and consumer goods), Guangzhou (serving textiles, auto parts, fashion, and electronics), and Foshan (focused on furniture, building materials, ceramics, and machinery). You can instruct suppliers across China to deliver to our nearest warehouse for consolidation.
Under FOB (Free on Board), the supplier only pays for loading onto the ship in China; you must arrange freight, insurance, import customs clearance, and pay all duties. Under CIF (Cost, Insurance, and Freight), the supplier covers freight and basic insurance to the destination port, but you remain responsible for port handling, customs clearance, duties, and inland transport. Under DDP (Delivered Duty Paid), Speedline manages everything end-to-end: pickup, freight, customs clearance, duty and VAT payments, and direct delivery to your door.
Yes! Multi-supplier consolidation is one of our most popular services. Your suppliers ship their goods to our warehouses in Yiwu, Guangzhou, or Foshan. We receive the packages, verify carton quantities against your packing lists, store them securely, consolidate them into a single container or master air consignment, and handle all customs formalities under one unified DDP declaration.
Our Road Freight DDP service connects China with destination dry ports and commercial hubs via direct cross-border trucking. Goods are received at our warehouse, cleared for export, and loaded into sealed international linehaul trucks. We navigate the border customs post, settle all destination customs duties and taxes, and drive directly to your inland facility. Road DDP offers transit times of 10 to 18 days — significantly faster than sea freight at a fraction of the cost of air freight.
No. Under our DDP solution, Speedline Logistics utilizes our licensed customs corporate entity and established WEBOC filing infrastructure to clear the goods through customs. This allows individual entrepreneurs, small businesses, and commercial companies without dedicated import licenses to import goods safely and 100% legally.
Customs duties and import VAT are calculated based on the official customs valuation of the goods under their assigned Harmonized System (HS) code. Valuation includes the commercial value plus freight and insurance (CIF). Speedline’s customs experts calculate the exact applicable Customs Duty (CD), Regulatory Duty (RD), Additional Customs Duty (ACD), and Sales Tax / VAT upfront, and pre-fund all payments on your behalf before cargo release.
Airlines charge based on the greater of actual gross weight (in kg) or volumetric dimensional weight. Volumetric weight is calculated using the standard IATA formula: Length (cm) x Width (cm) x Height (cm) / 5000 (or 6000 for standard air cargo). For example, a lightweight but bulky carton measuring 60x50x40 cm has a volumetric weight of 24 kg. If the actual weight is 15 kg, the chargeable weight will be 24 kg.
We cannot transport hazardous materials (explosives, corrosive chemicals without MSDS), weapons, counterfeit trademarked goods without authorization, illegal narcotics, or perishable items requiring specialized refrigeration. Items containing built-in lithium batteries, branded products, liquids, or powders must be declared in advance to ensure compliant documentation and carrier acceptance.
Speedline provides comprehensive tracking visibility for all DDP shipments. You receive real-time updates when cargo is received at our China warehouse (Yiwu, Guangzhou, or Foshan), when export clearance is completed, at vessel sailing or flight departure, upon arrival and customs clearance at destination, and when the delivery truck departs for your facility.
Typical door-to-door timelines are 3 to 7 days by air, 10 to 18 days by road, and 20 to 35 days by sea (LCL or FCL). The clock starts when cargo is received at our China warehouse or collected from your supplier. Customs assessment, peak seasons and incomplete paperwork are the usual causes of delay, so we confirm a realistic window on your quote.
Your quote covers China pickup or warehouse receiving, consolidation, Chinese export clearance, main freight, Pakistan terminal charges, HS code verification, Goods Declaration filing, payment of customs duty, regulatory duty, additional customs duty, sales tax and advance income tax, and final delivery. Cargo insurance and any special certificates are stated line by line on the quote so you can see exactly what is covered.
Choose air for urgent, high-value or lightweight cargo, sea for heavy or bulky goods where cost per unit matters most, and road for overland shipments, oversized machinery or goods that need a faster option than sea at lower cost than air. If you send us your cargo details, we will compare the options on landed cost and delivery date before you commit.
It depends on how the shipment is structured and what you are importing. Commercial imports are declared against a registered importer, so we confirm at quote stage whether your shipment can be cleared under our licensed customs set-up or needs to be filed under your own NTN and WeBOC registration. We will tell you before cargo ships, not at the port.
Yes. Your suppliers deliver to our warehouses in Yiwu, Guangzhou or Foshan. We check cartons against each packing list, store the goods, build one consolidated shipment and clear it under a single declaration. This is usually the cheapest way to move small orders from different factories.
Airlines charge on the higher of actual weight or volumetric weight. For standard air cargo, volumetric weight is length x width x height in cm divided by 6000. A carton of 60 x 50 x 40 cm works out to 20 kg volumetric. Express couriers divide by 5000, which makes the same carton 24 kg. If it actually weighs 15 kg, you are charged 20 kg by air cargo or 24 kg by express.
We deliver to Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Faisalabad, Sialkot, Peshawar and other commercial centres. Sea cargo is cleared at Karachi Port or Port Qasim, air cargo at Karachi, Lahore or Islamabad airports, and road cargo at the Sost border, then trucked to your address.
We cannot move weapons, narcotics, counterfeit goods or hazardous materials without proper documentation. Batteries, cosmetics, liquids, powders, chemicals and branded products need advance declaration and certificates such as MSDS, brand authorisation or conformity documents. Tell us what you are shipping early and we will confirm what is required before dispatch.
Our licensed customs brokers handle the query on your behalf, supply the valuation documents and, if needed, attend the physical examination. Because we verify HS codes and invoices before the cargo leaves China, most queries are settled before they become a hold at the port.
DDP stands for Delivered Duty Paid. With Speedline, one party manages the whole journey: supplier pickup in China, consolidation, export clearance, freight, import clearance, duty and tax payment, and delivery to your address. You receive one quote that shows the total cost before shipping, so you do not get separate freight, port, clearing and trucking bills after the cargo arrives.
DAP (Delivered at Place) means the seller delivers to an agreed place, but the buyer clears import and pays duty and taxes. DDP means the seller also clears imports and pays duty and taxes. With Speedline’s DDP service, we take on the import clearance and duty payment for you, priced as one quote.
With FOB or EXW, you arrange international freight, import clearance, duties and delivery yourself, or hire several providers to do it. With DDP, Speedline arranges and prices the full journey, so you deal with one provider and one invoice. You can keep the supplier price on EXW or FOB terms.
Yes. Your suppliers deliver to our Yiwu, Guangzhou or Foshan warehouse. We check cartons against each packing list, store the goods, build one consolidated shipment and clear it under one declaration. This is often the cheapest way to move small orders from different factories.
